Diabetes and Hot Weather - Staying Safe & Heat Exhaustion
I was diagnosed with 11 years old, and I've been taking injections for the last 6 years. I recently fell after taking an injection when my glucose level was all set low. I don't remember anyone warning me not to. Has anyone received advice on this subject? 1 Answer Hello. I've read this somewhere and I think it would be useful for you. A low blood sugar, also called hypoglycemia or insulin reaction, is defined as a blood glucose level below 60 to 70 mg/dL. It is usually accompanied by one or more of the following symptoms. Low blood sugars or insulin reactions can occur when insulin is used. Although less frequent, it can also occur with the use of medicines that stimulate insulin production in type 2 diabetes, such as Diabenese, Glyburide, Glipizide and Starlix. Symptoms of hypoglycemia vary a lot. Lows may occur without symptoms, minor symptoms or symptoms of full blood. They will vary from person to person and from one bass to another in the same person. A single symptom can make you aware that your blood sugar has been reduced, or suddenly you can become aware of several symptoms at once. Symptoms are created both by the effect of low blood sugar on the brain and other organs, as well as by the effects of adrenaline and glucago that are released in large quantities to raise blood sugar. When you suspect a low blood sugar, check that it is safe and, if low, raise your sugar quickly with glucose tablets or other fast carbohydrates. If you're too confused to check, eat fast carbohydrates and look later. The faster you recognize hypoglycemia, the faster you can respond and return blood sugar to normal. Note that you do not want to eat too much when treating low blood sugar, or you can start a blood sugar roll. Identify symptoms for insulin reactions so you can take action quickly. Insulin reaction symptoms * shaking ♪ sweating * irritability * headache ♪ Antigueo ♪ Hunger * blurred vision * dizziness and confusion * numbness of the lips * nausea or vomiting * Quick heart rate * sudden fatigue * seizures *Palabra appearance * frequent sighs ♪ Personality change * confusion or bad concentration * Loss of consciousness Symptoms for nightly bass may be particularly difficult to recognize. If you wake up during the night with any of the symptoms below, check your blood sugar immediately. (Or eat fast carbohydrates and then check.) Night symptoms * nightmares ♪ wake up very alert * wet nightwear or sheets * waking up with a fast heart rate * restless and inability to go back to sleep People often sleep through night reactions and have symptoms the next morning that they may not recognize as a result of a night reaction. If you have any of these symptoms, I suspect an insulin reaction during the night. It is strongly recommended that you try your blood sugar at 2 a.m. for a few nights. This can do wonders to identify and correct this potentially dangerous situation. Subscribe to eAlertsPopular Discussion TemasResourcesPolicy and Contact
